Human remains were recently found in the belly of a 14-foot-long (4.2 meters) crocodile on an island north of Queensland, Australia. According to the local authorities, the remains supposedly belonged to Andrew Heard, a 69-year-old fisherman who went missing from the area on Feb. 11.

He was last seen that Thursday afternoon when he left his yacht on Hinchinbrook island (close to the coast of northeastern Australia) in a small fishing boat, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) news site, When he didn't return that night and stopped responding on his radio, His wife called the authorities.

Early Friday morning (Feb. 12), his boat was found capsized showing damages indicating signs of a crocodile attack.

And later on Friday night, after searches were carried out, the investigators found human remains in the area; and the next day, they found the gigantic crocodile nearby.

Following directives from the Queensland government, Environmental authorities euthanized the croc ( to painlessly kill ) and cut it open, revealing more human remains in its guts.

The captured crocodile is believed to be the same croc responsible for the disappearance of a certain man who also mysteriously went missing.

The Queensland Environment, and local government agency, tweeted on Saturday (Feb. 13).

"Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time."

The coasts around Queensland are homes to the largest species of crocodiles on Earth: the saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus).

This species of monster crocs can grow up to 23 feet (7 m) long, athough they rarely exceed 16 feet (5 m), according to the Queensland Museum.

This crocs are known to live in the coastal waters throughout the western Pacific, from the southern coast of India to northern Australia, and are known to attack humans - So be warned!
